Have to disagree w/ NE/Pitt under. NE scored 20 in 1st meeting despite 4 turnovers, they average 27 ppg, they should score around 20. Pitt won't get shut out at home, if they can put 2-3 TDs on the board, the over is in business, especially if the total keeps dropping. GL

not concerned about what the total drops to.it can be 34 by kickoff for all i care.i got it at 37. don't believe either team puts 3 td's on the board here. New Eng got down 21-3 early last time, and the whole pace of the game changed. Pats ended up only running the ball 5 times. This is a "move the chains, field position" type game here. Also, at (Teresa)Heinz Field, with the winds, even Vinateri may struggle from 40+.
Pittsburgh will also be running the football, they won't put this game in Big Ben's hands unless they are down by more than 1 score in the 4th and have to throw the ball.

That brings up an interesting Paradox and its happened in 2 games that I can remember where the wind was howling. I had the Unders in the games and what happened was that the wind was so bad that they gave up trying to kick FGs! They would drive to the 20 and on 4th and 5 or more they would run a play to try and pick up a 1st. They suceeded enough times that instead of 3s they where putting up 7s. There comes a time in playing UNDERs because of the wind, that the wind is so bad that you have to look at the OVER thus the paradox. I think 30 mph on up you have to be careful.

when this game kicks off...wind chill will be around zero.

you make a good point. But, on the other hand, a team drives down the field, small chunks of yards, moving the chains (ex 8 plays 40 yds), taking 5 minutes or more off the clock. get the ball down to the 30. 4th and 8. No chance for a field goal in the wind. Team goes for it. i like these defenses on 4th and long. team doesn't convert, turns the ball over, empty drive.

also, 30 mph howling winds makes it tough to move the ball thru the air.
